The founder of North East Infotech is Mr. Munindra Sarmah. Mr. Sarmah did his Masters of Computer Application (MCA) from Gauhati University. He started his career as a Software Analyst in a private IT firm at Nehru Place, New Delhi in the year 2004. Subsequently, he served as Computer Faculty in two different private Computer institutes at Guwahati during the period January, 2006- June, 2008. After that, he joined in WebX Technologies Private Limited, Guwahati as a Junior Analyst since July ,2008 to April,2011. Later on he joined in Govt. Sector i.e. in National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) under Health & family Welfare Department, Govt. of Assam. Mr. Sarmah resigned his job at NRHM in January, 2013 and joined his new assignment as Project Manager under Panchayat & Rural Development Department , Govt. of Assam on 1 st Feb/ 2013. He has almost 18 years of experience in both Corporate as well as in Government Sector in IT field.

Mr. Sarmah founded this organization in the year 2009 to provide various citizen centric E- Governance services as well as other digital/online services to the common masses. This organization also holds the recognition as COMMON SERVICE CENTER for delivering various G2C, G2B, G2G services under Digital India Initiative, Govt. of India for facilitating various E-Governance services.

In the year 2018, this organization has started another wing i.e. Computer Education and training wing. The sole objective of opening this wing is to impart quality Computer Education to the aspiring students at affordable prices to cope with the latest development in the IT sector.
